POLITICAL VITRIOL
On 23 January 2006
We’ll go to the polls and we’ll all make our picks
A political frolic hateful words vitriolic
The campaign is colic and it makes me sick!
Smearing adjectives are spewed on the screen
This one is quite scary and that one’s real mean
This group they’ll be friendly with the US
That group grabbed Army pensions, oh what a mess
One will seize all the handguns from registered men
If he’s re-elected to power again
One doesn’t want soldiers protecting our streets
And they hope that the others go down to defeat
The ads on the TV are displayed night and day
To win o’er the public in this political fray
Librano or Tory, Bloc, Commie, NDP
All vying to lead our poor old Country
Political patronage, adscams and theft
Misuse of tax-dollars – yes it is a mess
Watch the vitriolic ads, and then please take a note
Hold your nose, take a breath but do go and vote!
See you at the polls on the 23 January 2006
Think hard and think long before you make your pick
Your decision could cleanse away all tears and fears
Your choice will run Canada for another four years!
