DARKNESS
She sat in darkness
But she did not notice
Her heart was bitter
But she did not care
Her eyes were blind
But still she tried to see
She did not notice the sniggers rise
He came as silence and tried to call her
He came as moonlight
But was shut out
He came as sunlight
But her darkness ate him
He did not count the price
And then he gave her the only gift other couldn’t
He gave her what would truly breakthrough
He gave his own life so she would get her own back
And from that moment she was his own
