THE LADY
There she stands proud and tall,
On a harbor to be viewed by all,
Symbol of freedom and of life,
Lady Liberty upholds her light.
Her torch always lit,
As a beacon to freedom,
Her smile so sweet,
To all those who see her.
But for all those people,
Who come into this country,
How many realize
The cost of that Lady?
Liberty and Freedom,
Is what she stands for.
I know the cost,
But do you?
Do you know of the price
That was paid,
To have this Lady,
stand for you?
